Hello everyone!
My birthday is next week, and I am getting excited but also progressively nervous. I always feel somewhat awkward at my birthday parties.
I never know how to respond to people when they ask 'life' related questions like "Have you picked your college major yet?", "Where's your boyfriend?", "When are you going to go to an 'away' college instead of your community college?". These questions tend to pop up around my birthday more often than any other day of the year, and it always throws off my good mood. Does anyone else struggle with these questions, and how to respond to them?
I also struggle with how to conduct myself when I am the center of attention. I never liked being the center of attention and never know what to do or say when I am. I also never know how to respond to compliments. Does anyone else have this problem with attention?

For my birthdays, I just a cake and eat it with my immediate family.
If you don't like the attention that b-day parties bring, then don't have them (or invite the people that bring such attention).
No worries there.
