Few months ago, I was in the hospital, I went by ambulance, they didn’t have my correct information. I got a bill from the ambulance company , it was for over $1,700 8O. I called Blue Shield my healthcare plan, they are fixing it for me :D :D I can be like an adult when I’m calm & relax, I took care of it by myself, 8O :D It felt so good doing adult stuff, too bad I can’t do adult stuff all the time. My mental age gets the worse of me.

That situation sounds very stressful. You handled it very well!

Well done you. It always makes me feel good when I've sorted stuff out like that as well.

It's a triumph.

Congratulations. It's not easy, and it probably doesn't get any easier, but you did it no matter how hard it is for you.

You should feel proud of such.

Phone calls, esp to government or businesses, outside my comfort zone

However on Sunday I received a newspaper I didn't pay for and I phoned and told them that

But I did not want to phone

Good job!I always feared and dreaded talking to people I didn’t know on the phone, it took years to overcome it.It gets easier the more you do it.

So this was 6 months ago and blue cRoss blue shield . And had my own Covid ambulance ride . All said and done still trying to get over the situation of being suddenly hospitalized . So bill from Ambulance Co . With the Cities name on it .
Wants 2200. Usd for the ride , but BC/BS picked up the bill and I recieve a second bill ,asking for 300usd co-pay . So I call Ambulance company
And am told my BS/BC benefits had covered it . So I called back my Blue Cross Blue Sheild rep .And she tells me , I must pay the 300 usd co- pay . After 3 days of arguing , her supervisor comes on phone . And get the Ambulance company on the phone . With us . And after much discussion the woman from ambulance company .
And now I have a receipt from the VA benefits div. Stating they had paid bill in full. Now The Ambulance woman says she never charged BC / BS . And the VA had paid in full. Now the Bs/Bc rep tells me to throw away all the paperwork. It seemed like both people were trying to rip me off. But my mind doesn’t want this to be .And it has used up all my spoons for several days in a row trying to figure this out . Have had repeated problems with BlueCross Blue Sheild , They offered me one plan with a 1000 dollar over the counter med benefit , but had a second plan that had a name almost identical . That has no such benefits and larger co pays .. So the rep had told me would be signed up with the good one , but 2 month later . I call back because had not received the paperwork . And was told that I signed up with the lesser Plan with less benefits .And even after I appealed they would not change it back.
Beware nice sounding BC/BS representatives . Call back afterwards and double check what they have signed you onto. It was massive expenditure of energy to deal with all this . It still feels like Medicare fraud . Why can’t people just be normal .
