In fact...those two things 'go together like a horse and carriage'.

Every American my age still has this circa 1960 commercial ditty in their heads from childhood:

I do like soup.

More so it's a gateway to make me acquaint and acquire with new and unaccustomed tastes gently and quicker.

I like some, albeit I'm not the biggest fan of a "meal" being mostly liquid. :| Alright as a side dish thingy, though.

I'm a big fan of stews. Which I have for dinner basically every night due to the simplicity of it all for an unprocessed meal that contains various meat/s, vegetables and liquids (autistic, lazy or whatever).

I love iced soup! Iced tomato soup etc. However, I have to have the heater on to have cold soup right now as it's winter here.

Why was it complicated?

Why was it complicated?

long list of ingredients including various spices, black beans, 2 kinds of seitan [fake meat], tuna, marinara sauce, chicken stock, various veggies including carrots and celery, onions and garlic, quinoa, a bit of pasta, a bit of low-sodium soy sauce, some "benson's table tasty" salt-free spice.

I never liked soup & I barely liked any stews & haven't liked any since I was a teen. I'm not a fan of hot liquid thou & the only liquids I really drink are water, soda, & occasionally beer. I tend to dislike foods having a lot of liquid in them as well unless most of the water was cooked or drained out or it's something frozen like ice-cream. I always been a majorly pikcy eater & still am thou I'm not quite as bad as I used to be. Nothing wrong with others liking or loving that stuff, just not my thing.

If the soup is runny I like to put bits of bread in it.

So you'd never want a smoothy then.

You sound like my bf, he's a picky eater as well and I have food phobias so I usually stick to the same foods and they're the things that he happens to like so it kind of works out.
