if i use the qr code to transfer google authenticator codes will it still show up on both phones?

Yes, it will.

At least, that's what happened when I transferred my google authenticator codes (from my old iphone to my new android phone).

Of course, I could go and remove the codes from my old iphone if I wanted, but I like having them on both phones.
