While trading camels for slaves or the other way around in the middle of the desert.

Hey, crypto zoology is one of my special interests and I will only date people who share my special interests. That's the ONLY thing I look for in a future partner.

I would have to say a bar. Intoxicated people don't always make the best decisions.

The Internet.

Because it gives an artificial boost to one's chances, and will enable those of us who would have had very little chance of "finding someone" IRL to do so.

That's not necessarily a good thing if you learn that you would have (perhaps) been better off never dating at all.

Ohhhhh .... is this thread asking the worst place to meet a partner?

I thought it also meant "if you have a partner, where do you not want to bump into them?"

I put a bit of both in my answers. (e.g., pan-frying their junk in the kitchen).

Yes, meet.

I was trying to do the opposite of the thread:

“Where’s the best place to find a girlfriend?”

It’s an idiomatic use of the word find as in: “I want to find someone” - a romantic partner.

Ah yes, find a partner .... like gum on your shoe.

Well, I found my ex-husband on a sailboat.

GBF2 the dog killer -- at work (but he didn't work there).

GBF3 at work -- he did work there.

So strike all those from the list of possibilities.

No, not like that.

It’s usually said with a romantic, dreamy expression.

Most people don’t want to “find” just anyone. The implication is the right person or a soulmate, not that I believe in one soulmate.

Oh .... the dreamy sigh of "There it is!" when you see your next target crush.

I hate when that happens.

I wouldn’t say it’s just that, either.

I would say, the worst place to meet a partner (kind of soulmate) is on every kind of party. Because there the NT's usually just look for some partner for one night (or few weeks).
