I can think of several:

• Alcoholic Support Groups (i.e., A.A.)

• Drug Rehab Centers

• Homeless Encampments

• Morgues

• Prisons

• Republican National Conventions

• Sex-Offender Registries

I bet there are nice women who happen to live in the middle of a forest

There's a movie out, with "Crawdads" in the title, which depicts such a woman. She had a house in the forest. She was a naturalist who observed animal behavior, and created lovely drawings. She was thought of as being a "Marsh woman," and was abandoned by her family. However, she was able to fall in love with someone, and to be married for about 50 years before she passed away peacefully.

I would say one of the worst places to find a partner---is in one of those bars where people come to drink starting late morning.

↑ A work of fiction, not a documentary.

Do you find that a bar with people who drink starting late morning, on a weekday when people should be working, is a wonderful place to find a partner?

Yeah....the movie is fiction. But, nevertheless, it is conceivable that a man could meet a woman who loves the forest, lives in it, yet also has adequate social graces. I wouldn't have minded meeting such a woman when I was younger.

The opportunities for finding women in the middle of forests is quite limited.

Bars in general are bad places to find datable people.

I would agree on the "limited."

But I wouldn't agree that forests are necessarily bad places to meet women.

I’m not sure about the forests you’ve been in, but the ones I’m familiar with lack people and would be bad places if the goal is to meet someone.

Maybe a popular hiking trail during the summer wouldn’t be too bad, but that’s not the type of wilderness I was meaning to suggest.

Kortie, this thread is about the worst places to find a partner, not about the place where you found your wife.

PLEASE stop derailing threads!

Actually, I have nothing against NASCAR. I've been watching auto racing since I was a kid. I used to like watching demolition derbies, too.

You have an element of NASCAR fans who accentuate the "redneck" stereotype. But there are many auto racing fans who do not reflect that stereotype.

I certainly wouldn't go into the middle of a forest to meet a woman; that would probably be a fruitless undertaking. But, still, if I happened to have met someone who lives in a forest, who appeals to me in a personal way, I would "go for it."

I met my wife the "conventional" way, actually. Through introductions from friends.

And....yes....I am keeping to the topic.....so don't "derail" me. This is a joke topic----so anything goes, except where somebody is insulted or made to feel bad.

Maybe I was expecting too much in trying to create a silly, lighthearted thread on this topic.
