One of the reason I don't like myself and have low self esteem is because I haven't really fit in any Asperger groups. I can think of 2 leaders of Asperges groups that probably don't really like me either, even though I haven't been to an Asperger group in a long time. I tend to avoid meetup groups and just be happy for the friends I have now but I think it's easier for other aspies to fit in groups easier and if I were a different person (even someone with a disability but more successful at things) maybe I could fit in more or even get a job.

I never wish that I was someone else. I’m fine with who I am. I’ve never really tried to fit in except when I was a teenager.

I’m okay with being alone.

I don't think it's that common in Aspies but I know I get jealous of other people. I always have done. When I was a child I got jealous if other kids had things I didn't, when I was a teenager I got jealous of my peers for having friends and doing things, and now I get jealous of NTs for being NTs, not for the neurology as such but for being the majority. I've always wanted to be like everyone else.

I don't get jealous of people with more money than me though, just those with more social skills. Being an Aspie/ADHD you realise that having social skills are more important than having money. Social skills usually leads to money anyway, without making much effort.

I'm not a jealous type, I'm OK being me...miss intellectual when sober

miss affectionate when drunk

to the op jealousy is a human trait

I don't mind not having friends

I don't fit in either but I don't mind

do you want a cuddle?

I'm odd

I'm dipsy most of the time but could get A grades at uni

its stressful as people expect me to be smart all the time

I'm only smart in the classroom

I write essays and do research

I am soft

don't be down on yourself, you bring something different to the world

I ,like it

I don't think it's just aspies, but other people within the disability community, period. However, that includes caregivers such as parents. I have seen it happen towards anyone within the disability community who appears to have things come easier.

For example
I have known a couple of people within the disability community who were really jealous of me over the fact that:

1. I have appeared to have an easier time making friends and connections while other people haven't but what they don't know is that I have been rejected and excluded many times myself.
2. I have had people who were envious of me because I got into college when they don't know what I did to get into college

I feel jealous of people who breeze through life without crying.
