Old folks would tell a child that was staring too long ,that their face would freeze that way permanently,or if you had your mouth open ,that a fly would buzz in it.
People would say,
“Take a picture, it lasts longer,” or the more ominous, “ What are you looking at?”
The problem is there aren’t enough mean old people left to terrify the young ones.

My wife sometimes tells me that a fly will fly in my mouth if I leave my mouth open too much.

I'd make an observation about the willingness of people to set their credibility on fire over such a non-event, but none of these people had any to burn in the first place.

My understanding is previously he settled with the Washington Post who paid him hush money. After paying lawyers fees there was probably just enough money for Sandmann to go to the local kmart and purchase 30-40 white sheets and tiki torches for him and his school friends when they have their next klan meeting.
