Yaser Said on trial for killing his daughters in 2008

On January 1st 2008, Yaser Abdel Said shot and killed his daughters Amina and Sarah, ages 18 and 17 respectfully in his taxi cab. Sarah called 911 stating her father just shot her, but police weren't able to locate her. Later a hotel employee found a cab with 2 females and called police, but Yaser has already fled. He was wanted by the FBI and on Decembet 4 2014 was added to the Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. On August 27 2020 Yaser was arrested in the home of his niece Dalal Said. This was after the FBI spent days surveilling the home. His brother Yassein and son Islam were both charged with concealing a fugitive.

I guess that fifteen years later is better than never.

His son and brother received 10 and 12 years for being complicit after the fact.

In the article it says his defense team claims he is simply being persecuted for being muslim.

It's like umm no, you're on trial for freaking murdering your children you psycho.
