im 50 and i wouldnt know how to read any body language or missed cues or whatever

too much conscious energy for me

my buses are easier to understand than people :) :)

That's not 'actions speak louder than words' though is it. Their actions are 'normal'. They go to work, love their families, give money to charity, help their neighbours. Yet their words are harsh and cruel.

That's 'words speak louder than actions.'

Do you see why I get confused?

"Actions speak louder than words" usually refers not to "body language" but to larger actions.

For example, if someone claims to be your friend but never wants to get together with you and never does any favors for you, even though you've done lots of favors for them, then they are probably not really your friend.
