Makes sense. Has always made sense since the news broke. Still baffled as to how anyone here can think these crimes are 'nothingburgers going nowhere.' 
He might not spend any time in actual prison, but he's going down for this and other crimes and the fines/restitution etc he'll have to pay will obliterate his entire empire by the time the dust settles.. which may not be for years to come, as there's quite the dust cloud of businesses and shady accounting to sift through and then filter through the court system for years.
At least all the major entertainment is happening right about meow. Then hopefully everything's just a little minor headline here and there vs. being an ongoing train wreck for years to come - I have other things to do that require my attention and I'll be glad when this series finally mostly wraps up and I'll be able to look away. But right now is a different story.. it's beautiful, beautiful carnage - twisted metal with a blur of orange and great big ol' crocodile tears of a former fake 10-Billionaire.

For some people it seems like they've heard he's just about to be indicted or taken down some other way 953729294386 times. Stormy Daniels and Michael Avenatti (the one who actually ended up behind bars) is just one of a zillion examples.
