 No, but it is a demonstration of what appears likely to have created the Calvine image.

It was taken by two hikers whose “identity remains unknown.” That sounds fishy.

It’s probably just a hoax.

I think now the likelihood for anonymous people to hoax something like UFOs (which are proven to no longer be an existential phenomena) is low, especially as there is zero publicity for the two men involved.

Why?

People do stuff like that all the time, whether there’s publicity or not. People made crop circles anonymously for decades before some came forward.

The crop circle narrative that two drunken Englishmen with wooden planks created complex fractal designs in the pitch dark was quite silly. Of course many are hoaxes and done for the purpose of art

8O

What do you mean? They are all hoaxes. People have stated how they’ve done it. Belief in anything else is irrational.

But no more silly than some alien lifeform communicating, undetected, by creating very large fractal patterns in fields.
If they're advanced enough to do that they're advanced enough to communicate without using "Ooooh, scary!!" incomprehensible patterns.
Or maybe they were drunk.

Reminds me of Douglas Adams' HHGTTG - “Teasers are usually rich kids with nothing to do. They cruise around looking for planets that haven’t made interstellar contact yet and buzz them.” “Buzz them?” Arthur began to feel that Ford was enjoying making life difficult for him. “Yeah,” said Ford, “they buzz them. They find some isolated spot with very few people around, then land right by some poor unsuspecting soul whom no one’s ever going to believe and then strut up and down in front of him wearing silly antennas on their head and making beep beep noises.”

Perhaps fishiest of all is the fact that no one else noticed this huge flying object, except for two anonymous hikers.

There is telephone wire in the picture, so this was, apparently, not that far from civilization.

This is the infamous UFO photo dubbed by some as the “world’s best” as it shows a huge diamond-shaped object pictured flying over the Scottish Highlands.
The so-called “Calvine Photograph” – which was for decades considered lost – has finally been uncovered after a years of research by academic and journalist Dr David Clarke, The Sun reports.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/19494171/ ... ne-hidden/

Showing what seems to be a huge angular object with what appears to be a Harrier jet in the distance, the image is an extraordinary piece of the UFO puzzle.

Image

It was taken at around 9pm on August 4, 1990, by two hikers on a hillside near Calvine, just off the A9 some 35 miles (56 kilometres) northwest of Perth in Scotland.

The men – whose identities remain unknown to this day – claim they watched the metallic object hovering with a low hum for around 10 minutes, while fighter jets made passes in the distance.

So THATS what happened to the hubcaps on my Aston Martin! Some punk teens tossed them into the air and photographed them!

Google "The Calvine Photo", check out the images and compare it to all the others showing more than one viewpoint (odd in itself for a single event, no?). This one is manipulated.

I'm just saying let's take a look at the picture.

Ok, so why did the UK Ministry of Defence slap a 30 year embargo on releasing the image??

And we are. We have all looked at the photo(s).

It's a well known fact that most people who see UFOs never report them. Anonymity in this instance is understandable as you could potentially be a laughing stock at best or lose your job as your boss thinks you are a nutcase at worst.

If many people see the same thing, as should’ve been the case if this were real, that’s less likely.

When you see something independently you may not want to be the one who sticks your neck out. It's called the bystander effect
