I think she'll scare off most of the voters as well being so right wing defending big profits for the energy companies off the back of high energy bills.

Kier Starmer for PM! Labour now have the centre ground all to themselves.

Under the Tories the price cap is set to rise again to £3,582 in October and again in January to £4,266. Labour would put an end to the rise by taxing huge oil and gas profits, saving you £1,000 this winter.
This will bring inflation down by 4%, making interest rate rises less likely and easing the burden on households and businesses.
Tackle the injustice of prepayment meters, making sure that people who use prepayment meters don’t pay more for energy than people who pay their bills monthly.

She scares me too. But not as much as Suella Braverman who seems a true monster to put in the Home Office and after Priti Patel that's really saying something.

I wish Labour had someone a bit more inspiring than Kier Starmer to offer as an alternative but I'll take it. My ideal though would be a Lab/Lib/Green coalition winning on a platform of electoral reform. Otherwise the Conservatives will just keep coming back.

I guess she'll be just as notorious as Margaret Thatcher?

In her dreams. Thatcher was a true ideologue and very much the architect of her own policy. Truss is cosplaying Thatcher to please the ultra-rightwing flank of her party. She'll go where the wind blows her.

I want Boris Johnston back. He did a lot of good things for London and England.

Whatever Tory gets in I know it's going to be bad news.

I've hated every Tory so far. Boris Johnson was OK for a Tory but wasn't OK as a prime minister because of how badly he handled the pandemic and those other things he did that I can't remember now.

On our way to the beach, my wife and I heard a speech I suppose she gave after being confirmed as PM. We felt really sad for British people after hearing that speech. It would seem there's no hope.

EDIT this was last Tuesday in the evening. Speech may not have been live.

I was going to say, has there ever been a Tory who was in any way concerned with Struggle street?

Sounds to me like a Tory is to the UK what a Republican is to the US.

Boris Johnson had his flaws but I think he was always being unfairly compared to Donald Trump. He did a few good things that I can't imagine Trump ever doing like when he opened the UK up to refugees fleeing from Hong Kong after the Chinese govermment took back the city.

So far - tax cuts for millionares, bankers bonus cap scrapped, relaxed immigration rules so what was the f*****g point of coming out of the EU?

Kier Starmer has all the charisma of a shoe box but Labour back in next time I think. Hopefully an early election as things look pretty bad for the pound and the economy ATM thanks to the BLOODY TORIES.

Thought both Theresa May and Johnson were OK but Truss is a nasty right wing b***h. She will cut and privatise everything that moves. Just watch.

Just from hearing the one speech I heard a couple weeks ago, it seems to me she is an unrepentant cynic wearing a shit-eating grin.
