The discussion made me want to see exactly what this act is, so I found a link to a handout

Which leads me to immediately wonder how the heck a piece of legislation can depend on such inherently gray slang terminology as "woke."

So here is the legislation, which is a mouthful, not in the least bit clear, and seemingly open to kind of interpretation League Girl is worried about:

In other words, it reads to me like a witch hunt act, where anyone can accuse anyone of violating the law.

Despise the concept of "woke" or not, this law is a free speech disaster.

Key concept is that anyone's free speech ends where it starts to stomp on another person's rights. The right to be safe is a pretty key right.

You are asking good questions; the act could be interpreted to squash sexual harassment training, IMHO.

It's the political equivalent of a brushback pitch, a law blocking certain types of diversity training that is probably not legal, but serves as a warning to companies in the state to cool it with the ideological imposition on their workers.
