It's actually more of dark humor on my part. As a matter of fact, I'll probably be long dead myself, before 2050.
But what sort of immortality is being promised here? Do you keep getting old and more enfeebled? If so, I think I'd prefer the sweet release of death to eternity as a shriveled vegetable. If it's a matter of staying young forever, then who is this going to be available for? Everyone, or just the elite rich? And how about overpopulation, which is more than a problem now? The planet can hardly sustain much more of our virus like species. Immortality can only make that worse. Or who knows, maybe it'll be something like in the Lovecraft movie,
Re-Animator, where people are turned into murderous zombies when brought back from death.
