Detective Pikachu style, if you could have a pokemon to just be yours and hang out with, which would you pick and why?

I would pick Skiddo cause it would be so positive and cute and I could ride it around when it evolves into Gogoat!

I'd choose Mew, mostly for the floaty pink vibes but also because I think it would make a great companion. It's playful and has a sense of humour but is also super chill, and it's psychic abilities would allow it to be very in tune with your emotions. Plus it can fly, shape shift, turn invisible and summon pink bubbles of psychic energy, what more could you ask for?

I'm surprised this hasn't had more responses yet!

Mew.

Us Boomers wouldn't understand too much about Pokemon----unless we had kids or grandkids that are into it....

My kids have thousands of Pokemon cards and they're still serious collectors. ^
I was prime-time for Pokemon parenting (1990s).

For what it's worth, Red and Blue didn't get released over here until 1998. The cards started coming out around '99.

I was trying to figure that out. ^
My kids were born 94 and 96.

I remember 98/99 being extremely Pokemon.
Then there was Digemon.

They had Pokemon Game Boys (that was a thing, right?)

My son and his fiancée are still hard-core collectors.

* To answer the OP, I'll pick Jigglypuff because that's the only one I remember *

Awesome. I think they've had a few that tied into Pokémon.

Playing it in a restaurant, which got me a lot of flack as a mum. ^

They had TONS of Pokemon games for the Game Boy but those are the only pictures I can find.
I'm pretty sure the controller was "Pokemon" too, like your picture.

I'll ask them what else they had and what they have now in the collection.

I might even have old Pokemon bedding somewhere.
