This afternoon I walked around the perimeter of this block of flats with the stroller-without stopping to sit down. My (s)daughter and gt grandson were with me. My (s)dau said I’d done well. It was maybe a 150 metres (rough guesstimate)
In the grand scheme of things it was a somewhat minor achievement, but I felt pleased with myself for doing it.

Congrats, I'd imagine it's the context that makes it an achievement so no need to downplay, it's an earned brag. :salut:

My mother also walked about 150 metres with a walker. She had to rest a few times. though.

You certainly did well, Firemonkey. So did my mother.

The '150' might be a slight exaggeration, but it's by far the longest distance I've walked since the couple of falls last October. I felt like resting a couple of times, kraftiekortie..

Just continue doing this, Firemonkey. As often as you can do it.

My mother suffered a broken hip around June 1st.

As you should feel pleased. Congrats and good on you. I don't think it sounds minor at all. I know how huge that stuff is when you've had setbacks like the ones you've had. I know how hard that stuff is and you did it. Rock on. Victory is yours.

Because I knew enough seniors with mobility issues and complicated health issues on top of that they don't usually leave their homes...

... Yeah, I'd say it is an accomplishment.
