Don't forget:

Even somebody like John Gotti did "legitimate business" sometimes.

I am not some cynical person who wants to "bring everybody down." But I believe Trump is a menace to our democratic institutions, and needs to be stopped.

 That's what happens when you base your beliefs on facts instead of owning the libs.

This article suggests even prosecutors who have evidence of criminal tax and insurance fraud are only looking for a civil lawsuit _ banning Trump from conducting business in NY
https://www.9news.com.au/world/ny-probe ... cd1392cf2a

I think the bar has been set too high to jail Trump. So prosecutors are going to hit him and his spawn where it hurts, in their bank accounts.

New York is a very woke city. I wish that people would just leave Trump alone.

It’s New York State suing him.

Why? Why shouldn’t wrongdoings be investigated and trump face consequences for them?

If he hasn’t don’t anything wrong he’ll be able to prove his innocence in court and won’t face any consequences. But if he has lied, cheated, and stolen as accused - then why shouldn’t he have to pay the money he owes? :?

Chickens coming home to roost. This is what happens when you allow a corrupt businessman to run the country. Of course he and his trustees (children) were going to commit fraud. Like leaving raw fish in front of a hungry cat.

Worst case scenario they get hauled into court they can just claim the 5th and use POTUS immunity from prosecution, It's worked so far for Trump.

The hilarious thing is, Trump might not have gotten all this scrutiny on him had he not won in 2016!

Why not? From things we already know from the D.D.'s office, Trump has a miraculous New York city apartment that has the properties of Dr. Who's Tardis, in that it's bigger on the inside as opposed to the physical measurements of the outside! There's just way too much skullduggery on Trump's part for this not to be found out once light was cast on it.

Full time Trump hunting at the exclusion of all else in NY.

Only since he's been in the national spotlight as never before. Remember, we know much of this because Trump had thrown his lawyer, Michael Cohen, under the bus. Had Trump returned the loyalty he expected from his henchmen we might never have known of this.
And so what if they're "persecuting" the orange messiah? He's a criminal grifter. Trump has absolutely no one to blame for this but himself.

Yeah that's a great reason for the office of the AG to put everything else on the backburner.

Are you suggesting the AG shouldn’t have investigated the biggest criminal fish in her pond? Or that the biggest case should be put on the back burner while she deals with lesser offenders? :? What exactly are you saying here ? (And try to make it make sense thx)

The biggest criminal fish? Drug manufacturers and dealers, human traffickers, CP producers, theft rings etc etc are more of a problem to the people of NY than someone telling fish stories about the size of their condo. If you can't understand that, that's on your end

Financial white collar crimes are still crimes and those who commit them cause harm to others and ought to face consequences.

They’re seeking a minimum of $250M in restitution. Michael Cohen figures that number will jump to $750M-$1B. That’s a lot of tax money that honest hard working people have to pay when someone like don the con skips out on the bill via fraud x250+ counts.

As an AG, how many petty criminals would one have to go after to collect that sort of missing tax revenue for the state and why would you do it in lieu of frying the big fish who, under American law, is to be treated equally & ought to face legal and financial consequences for his crimes?

Again, I said make it make sense.. not throw out some nonsense “but what about drug dealers???” (Who the AG doesn’t have any criminal jurisdiction over anyways.)

Try again. It’s fun seeing you grasp at straws in desperate attempts to defend the indefensible about your orange home boy, donnie t.
