I don't get why some people are so happy to assume these dumb culture war positions, convince themselves they hate people they've never met and then eagerly spread the poison around to anyone who'll listen. Why don't they realise they're being played?

I don't get why the majority of NTs value drinking and getting drunk, yet getting drunk makes people break important social rules - which NTs normally hate.

I don't get why people get pleasure out of hurting people who aren't as smart as they are. I've been hurt that way many times in my life.

I don't get why so many people think it's "wrong" to have "childlike" interests like cartoons and video games. Especially when there are so many cartoons and video games that are not made for children. And I would rather watch the cartoons and play the games that are targeted to kids... supposedly.

Why people identify so strongly with sports teams that they have often chosen arbitrarily and appear to consider their team's achievements as their own.

I don't get why autism moms moan about how they'll never hear their non-verbal kid say "I love you". People can show love in other ways. Also maybe if the mom didn't act like their kid is a walking tragedy the kid would show more love as well.

Personally, most parents of verbal kids are lucky when they do hear them say "I love you". And it's not after the parent just gave them toys, food or money. Kids are naturally very self-centered.
