The next thing that's going to be knocked down after gender is age. "What's with this minors and adults nonsense? People are people no matter what age they are".

So wait, you don't think people should be allowed to be people?

So if some hulking biker dude goes into the women's restroom or women's locker room, women are being bigoted or phobic if that bothers them?

Or Ron Jeremy. :lmao: The old Ron Jeremy. You know what happened, right?

I didn't hear about it. *Googling* Found. Ron Jeremy and his Sunset Strip 'rape tactics': Unsealed testimonies from 21 women reveal how celebrity porn star 'would lure star-struck fans as young as 15 into Rainbow Grill bathroom before attacking them'

Have you never been to a bar or restaurant that has one or two doors entering one large communal washroom with multiple stalls and sinks where both “hulking biker dudes,” (is that me? 6’2” about 215lbs & ride a motorcycle) as well as women in sleek dresses enter the same space at the same time, do their business, wash & dry their hands and then exit the washroom and return to their respective parties’ tables? :?

It’s really not a weird thing at all. It’s not like people are 2 up in a stall squatting over each other. And once you realize both the space and time efficiencies you’ll wonder why it isn’t more common.

Another false equivalency leading down the path of suggesting that LGBT people are pedophiles. Grow up. If you want to attack child groomers and rapists, there are a whole lot of priests that have some confessions to make. Go attack people that have actually harmed children instead of who tucker carlson tells you harms children.

"Pedophiles"? For shame. It's "minor attacted adults" now. Unless that's already been changed to something even less stigmatizing and more harmless sounding.

No I've never been in such an establishment. Would you care to some of them to establish their existence?

There's lots of gender-neutral bathrooms in NYC. I don't feel outraged by this at all.

Where I work, in fact, the bathrooms are gender-neutral.

I do believe in absolutely equality amongst the genders----that people are people.

But I still feel it's nice when women are women, and men are men. Even while believing in the right of people to be what they want to be.

Are you talking about small restrooms with a single toilet? Or large public restrooms with several urinals and stalls?

Go to Davie Street in the heart of Vancouver's gay village and wander around from bar to bar, lounge to lounge. You'll find several places with washrooms like that - along with gays, queers, and trans people chilling with straight people, cis gendered people, and even many of the seniors that live in the diverse community that is Canada's most densely populated area - the West End of Vancouver. (not to be confused with West Vancouver - that's a different city a short drive away.)

100% guaranteed there are other cities with progressive gender neutral bathrooms and LGBT inclusion - which, for the record, is not to the exclusion of heterosexual and/or cis gendered people. Anyone who isn't a hateful bigot is very welcome in the communal spaces of the gaybourhood.

I figured those were the sort of places being talked about. I've heard that sexual activity goes on in those restrooms.

I've never seen any. But then again, I don't hangout in washrooms cruising to hookup, so it's possible.. however, according to craigslist personals posts before the section was removed, the most popular washroom for cruising in the city is apparently at the H&M clothing store because you have to go down some back hallway to get there so it's quite private and far removed from the retail store. (I had to take a pee there once, that's when I realized why it gets posted about.)

I've only ever hooked up once in some warehouse party washroom.. sign on the door said 'One at a time,' but when the doorman wasn't looking.. Oh to be intoxicated at a party at like 4am lol.

Anyways, if you're looking to try your luck cruising at public washrooms I'm sure you'd have better luck at H&M or some highway rest stop than a gay lounge downtown, but you're welcome to go try it out for all I care. My experience has been that people enter that room because they have to go pee, so don't be surprised if you don't find yourself any free love.

Sounds about right considering according to what I read that store chain is popular with teenagers.

Were teenagers hooking up with each other in department store washrooms in your day?

That's not a part of my world. I was busy studying and working when I was a teenager.

You are the one doing all the describing of restrooms and what goes on in them. I just looked up the name of the place you were giving detailed restroom hook up info about. Maybe that wasn't expected since it was made clear the idea doing any research is laughable.

The restrooms where I work, the Criminal Court of NYC, have multiple stalls and urinals. They are still marked "men" and "women"---but anybody could walk into either, no questions asked.

I'm never going to walk into a woman's restroom; I don't see the purpose in it.

I also work at a college. There are men's bathrooms, ladies' bathrooms, and unisex bathrooms.

I've never seen a woman go into a men's bathroom, nor vice versa.
