Probably like they’re making ethical returns.

If enough Billionaires stand their ground and demand better for their employees, they won’t have to pull out of any states as laws will be shaped to reflect what the population actually wants vs some weirdos that think they can tell women what to do with their bodies & force them to give birth to their rapists’ babies.

But even if they pull out of some s**thole states with awful laws, they’ll still make boatloads of money and shareholders will see a return/dividends.

Liberal virtue signaling at the corporate level.

Precisely. And they're doing it to flex the power that their money has in order to get from government what their employees and the majority of citizens want. This is a fantastic way to stand up to backwards lawmakers trying to erode societal progress. Good for him and any others of the moneyed class that join in in flipping off the crazies trying to enact ridiculous laws that only serve to repress people for shiggles.

The story doesn't seem to confirm that this guy has ever actually done anything despite talking tough like this for years; sounds like a big hat no cattle situation.

Wtf?

The article spells out that he got what he wanted when some governor revised his laws due to this guy’s protest.

I’d count that as doing a thing.

If he did this, he'd just be downsizing and putting a lot of people out of work. That's probably all there really is to it, and the rest is PR.

“Benioff and Harlow discussed what happened in 2o15, when Benioff threatened to pull Salesforce out of Indiana when the state had passed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, signed by then-governor of Indiana Mike Pence.
The day before Pence signed the bill, Benioff threatened to reduce his company’s investment in Indiana; after Pence signed the bill Benioff stated he would cancel Salesforce programs requiring customers or employees to travel to Indiana. The week after that, he publicly announced he would offer relocation packages to employees choosing to leave the state,
Pence would end up signing a revised version of the bill.

What was revised, and did it actually have anything to do with this blowhard and his threats? There's no details there, and the wording is slippery.

That's not news or a current event, it's history.

I think GF and CD just grab stuff posted to FB and don't bother really reading it or verifying it. Joe Shmoe posted it on his FB page, so that makes it good enough to post to WP.

That’s what the story implies.

Not sure how you can read it any other way.

Anything anyone has ever done is in the past.

Joey Schmoey in this case is one of your right wing heros, ben shapiro. Feel free to contact his writing staff if you’d like to interview them about their article writing process.
