To head to Seattle to see the Iron Maiden concert because some random local I've never met from a Facebook group I'm in has an extra ticket. I've never seen Iron Maiden nor driven to Seattle for a concert before. Never spent any time in Seattle, actually, only stopped there once to rent a car and leave when I needed it. There's nothing particularly appealing about Seattle that would make me want to spend $$$$ to be there for a day or especially overnight vs. being at home and just taking a drive into Vancouver.. buuuuut, tomorrow - tomorrow night they have Iron Maiden. 8)

Thanks! I definitely will! 8)

Hmm, I guess I need to unload all of my tools out of my trunk etc before I go so I don't get turned away at the border if they think I'm gonna try to stay in their country and work.

Also, I think I'll make a stop at Trader Joe's and buy a few grocery items I haven't bought since 2015/2016. They have excellent quality junk food.

The savings on a tank of gas, which I might be about empty on the way back, is almost as much as the cost of gas to drive there and back. I'm sure parking will be expensive, and dinner, maybe a beer or two. But I won't be staying the night - I'll grab a coffee after the concerto and drive home as it's only a couple of hours drive or so.

Hmm, depending on what their merch looks like I might Also have to buy an overpriced t-shirt while I'm there.. I mean, first time travelling to another country to see a concert and all.. plus they're kinda of a big deal sort of act and they've been around since 1975 and won't be around forever. If they have a super cool t-shirt design I might just have to buy one even though they'll probably be over $50 cdn for a friggin' t-shirt.

Up the Irons!

Kinda jealous, cause I was there just a couple of days ago. Had to return to work though.

Have fun.

I saw IM in the 80s.
I might be going to a wedding near Seattle.

We're getting tickets for Arctic Monkeys & Hives in London next year.

8O

Happen to be going to a concert while on vacation Or flying there just for the concert?

Near zero chance I'd ever spend the money to fly across an ocean just to see a concert. Hella expensive concert, Batman.

My daughter's girlfriend is in UK.
We'd be visiting friends and also attending a wedding.

* This is the year of the wedding it seems. I can't believe how many people are getting married* 8O

I'm not getting married this year, but the goldfish equivalent did happen several weeks ago when I agreed to not hookup with other people and then haven't had sex since.. so, may as well be married.

I’m used to it. It’s been very dry up here for weeks, but I can handle some rain.

I’ll wear my Vessi’s on my feet (Vancouver made waterproof shoes) and a Stormtech rain jacket just in case. Plus I have an old umbrella in my car if it really pours.

Did you see them with Bruce or Paul? Bruce is a great vocalist and has served the band well, but (young) Paul was something else entirely...

I'm not sure?

It was so long ago.

I think it was Bruce.

This would have been the show:
