Just because people aren't permitted to say what they want doesn't mean those same terrifying opinions don't exist.

I don't see it as my business to police someone's accumulation of wealth. If they haven't stolen it, if they've earned it through their own innovation, they don't owe anyone an explanation. Just my opinion...

We needs laws. And once we have the laws they need to be enforced. I see no difference in the catch and release of criminals in the large democrat led cities. It's laughable to clamp down on words while actions run riot, with no punishment. When I see that democrats care about the victims of these caught and then released criminals I'll revisit this 'social rule' stuff you speak so reverently of.

But once terrifying opinions are out there in public, large gangs of people with the same opinions gather and form groups, and are more likely to act upon them. In the past, people were isolated with such opinions and didn't have the power of a group behind them.

Eli the computer guy has been doing detailed videos on the daily s**t show at twitter. TL;DR Musk is ruining his personal brand by being a petty, incompetent, childish dumbass and is doing a speed run of destroying twitter. There is no way it survives.

Not only is he draining his other corporations by selling their stocks, but much of their valuation is based on his (unearned) personal brand as an engineering genius, and he is trashing that, too.

Musk issues ultimatum to staff: Commit to ‘hardcore’ Twitter or take severance

TL;DR agree by 5pm today to work overtime going forward or consider yourself laid off.

Take the severance! Get out while the getting's good!

He's probably going to stiff them on the severance, though.

This is after he's already fired half the employees and 80% of the contractors.

This is going wrong faster than even I expected:

Twitter locks staff out of offices until next week

This year should stand as a warning to all single-minded blowhards who overestimate themselves and believe the hype of their half-wit acolytes. Watch as each one crashes into reality at speeds no-one thought possible while creating extraordinary messes for everyone else to deal with. Putin, Truss, Musk. Can we fit another in before Christmas?

Musk now wants to overwork his current workers. He laid off 85% of them and wants the rest to overwork. Talk about being cheap here. But this is your typical American work culture. Hire less people, make them work more.

Maybe...Sunak? Or Trump?

It just goes to show, we all need communities. Not one cult leader surrounded by brainwashed worshippers.

It's also an important reminder that no matter how powerful or wealthy someone is, they still need regular folks to take care of things.

Yes, I thought people had learned this during the pandemic? The most important people then were cleaners, shop workers, nurses...the regular folks. Not the high up, rich bankers and corporate managers etc.

Seems they didn't learn.

Elon Musk is the Edison of our time. If you know history, Edison became quite wealthy off of the backs of his workers. This time, Elon might have went too far in thinking what he could do. Many have left the company before he got the chance to make his money off of them.

LOL, people who don't use Twitter parroting what they're told to think about it, it's the best it's been in years thanks to Elon.
