Australia's plan to build advanced missiles: Albanese Government gives 'rock-solid backing' to 'really important enterprise'

The Albanese Government has given its "rock-solid backing" to building up the nation's own missile industry, with a minister noting "quite frankly we need more missiles in Australia".
Bryant Hevesi

October 15, 2022

An Albanese Government minister has used a speech in the United States to tout Australia's ability to build up its own domestic missile industry.

Pat Conroy told the G'Day USA Defence Industry Dialogue in Washington DC this week how Labor has given its "rock-solid backing" to manufacturing advanced missiles.

The Minister for Defence Industry and Minister for International Development and the Pacific said the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordinance Enterprise Australia was working to establish was part of the next frontier in its alliance with the United States.

"It's good for Australia and it's good for the United States… because it will build Australia's guided weapons stores and deliver a trusted second source of critical munitions supply to the United States," Mr Conroy said.

Can’t help but note : That Australia should already have had a advanced system in place .
But irony here , and slightly off topic is that the Iranian suicide drones shipped to Russian front in Ukraine .
Have been reported by US news to be comprised of some USA guidance system parts ( chips etc).
Seems the overall nature of war seems to engage in which Country can behave the most insane in warfare . While supplying the other side with the most effective supplies to construct better weapon systems .
( To use on each other)

Some experts have been screaming about this for years, but the bastard politicians haven't listened until recently.

Politicians can go frack themselves. 8)

The only deterrent to a jingoistic country is military strength.
Power = Peace.
Just ask Ukraine.

That is so sad , about firepower equals strength, a Country should , imho derive its strength from its people
Being very content with their Government . That preparations for War might not be necessary, but being well
Supplied in the event that such an event occur … And being willing to go to every length to defend it. Imho .
:ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:
From my experience here in the USA with the 2 nd amendment rights we enjoy . If in the event this country is invaded . The people here would put aside differences and very possibly ,fight ,to include every single last able bodied person would have to be killed ,in order to conquer it. :ninja: But Very possibly why Nukes were mistakenly invented. :(
( But my values are similiar to those from WW2 and unfortunately
Those maybe outdated these day) :(
So it appears these interceptor missiles need to be on Station for such a insane event . (Such as War). Am not for a Wartime economy , such as the USA has , but, rather funds should be directed towards personal quality of life :jester: But as least certain preparations need to be in place in the Events of more insane leaders of other less altruistic governments with bad intentions .
War = insanity amongst Politicians using severe Propaganda. Towards hate of other peoples or Countries( imho.)

Funny how the balance of power on the Pacific Rim is affected by two of its smallest population sized countries:Australia, and North Korea. Both have outsized importance, but for different reasons.

According to the list on Google Australia has the exact same population size as North Korea. Both have 26 million people. In east Asia thats a TINY size.

South Korea has 62 million people. Yet it, and Japan, and the US, and even the North's 'ally' China (to some degree) all feel threatened by North Korea, and its saber rattling shenanigans, and playing around with nukes.

Australia is tiny in population size, but physically HUGE. Lots a land. Lots of resources. But lacks manpower to defend itself.

Australia relied on Britain, and on the US, to defend itself from Japan in World War Two ( at the time Japan probably had about 14 times the population of Australia, today the ratio is still about six to one).

So its not surprising that Australia would want a "big stick" to carry around, even while it "talks softly" to its bigger population sized neighbors to the north in Asia. Not that China, nor India, will attack them tomorrow, nor the next day. But someday...who knows?

Have made some considerations considering defense of the PePe homeland …! :ninja:
Am hoping by next week can get some bottle Rockets :skull: into the Post ,to send to PePe in Aussieland to aide PePe in the defense of his giant Island country. 8O:D . God save the King ! Best wishes for the future of OZ.

Not meaning to be Racist here , but will include inflatable balloons with big cardboard sign with the words “ China go Home “ on it . To be launched with missiles in case of attack .

( above post was written tongue in cheek)

You can imagine the power group of the CCP salivating at the thought of taking over a poorly populated country with huge mineral resources.
Chinese strategic thinking is measured in decades rather than years.
Hopefully, I will be dead and buried before things get nasty. :skull:

Yes… it is very Cool when a second generation can add learned experience to their own from their Parents
( or older generations) … Think it would be common sense ! But have not seen it very often in subsequent Generations of kids very often .
Kind of interesting that the US did as much work hiding and reinforcing larger missile bunkers . More than the actual cost of the missiles . Put lots of contractors into big cost Government contracts .Extra Employment for those
(Companies) that had friends in the Government .
Btw PePe ,think if appropriate , Please ,thank your parents for me for any and all contributions they made in WW2 . We just recently celebrated Veterans Day here in the USA .
