A development in the LA council scandal.
Oct 18, 2022 Two Los Angeles City councilmen embroiled in a racism scandal have been removed from their committee assignments, according to acting Council Mitch OFarrell
According to the interim LA council president O'Farrell there is now no avenue in which Cedillo and De Leon can remain in the council. Despite statewide protests, including in front of the homes of the councilmen, the pair have resisted stepping down and are thought to be in hiding.
The councilmen are on a $262,000+ Salary which does not include bonuses
Outgoing interim president O’Farrell canceled Friday’s scheduled council meeting. He announced Monday that he had removed De León and Cedillo from an array of council committee assignments — the latest in a series of attempts to pressure the two men to step down.

Unbelievable....it looks like both councillors are refusing to resign.
One of the motivations for both of these gutter rats to refuse to budge is their salary, De Leon's term is not up for renewal till Dec 2024 which means he stands to make $524,000 if he simply clings onto his contract. He does not have to participate in council meetings but can continue to collect LA taxpayers money.
Clearly serving his own interests at the expense of the community
