With service dog by her side, Texas teen with epilepsy, autism wins Miss Dallas pageant

Quote:
Teen Alison Appleby of Sherman, Texas, was crowned Miss Dallas Teen USA 2022 recently with her loyal service dog, Brady, right by her side.

The 17-year-old teenager, who lives with autism and epilepsy, accomplished what she once considered the impossible by competing in a pageant as a disabled person — and winning.

Congratulations

Good for her. She is quite attractive. Home schooled. An archer. Competes on a team that raises money for cancer patients. The service dog is for her seizures.

Interestingly, her autism was diagnosed at 2 years, but her seizure disorder not until she was 16. They thought she was lazy or taking drugs when she had her absence seizures.

That's good news. I'm happy for her. This gives me hope in humanity.
