‘Sinister’: Xi’s predecessor ‘escorted out’ of Party Congress session
9 hours ago

Sky News host Rowan Dean says footage has emerged of the predecessor of China’s President Xi Jinping being “escorted out” of the closing session of the Communist Party Congress.

Former Chinese president Hu Jintao was seated next to Mr Xi during the event before he was ushered out of his seat by officials halfway through proceedings.

“And the goons come in and he is gone,” Mr Dean said.

Mr Dean discussed the issue with Sky News host Rita Panahi, who labelled the incident as “sinister”.

I hope he doesnt have an "accident" soon. Like falling down stairs, or out of a window.

Or fall victim to imported Russian radioactive tea.
I'd recommend he avoids accepting underpants gifts also.

‘Dangerous’: No ‘clear end in sight’ for Xi Jinping’s rule
5 hours ago

There appears to be “no clear end in sight” for Chinese President Xi Jinping’s rule, says McGrathNicol senior risk advisor Alex Joske.

The Communist Party confirmed President Xi will serve a third term, breaking a long precedent that has limited the terms of China’s leaders.

Mr Joske said the Chinese President has successfully “pushed out” any opposition within the Chinese Communist Party.

“He has really stacked this standing committee with loyalists and supporters and has managed to entirely remove any sort of voice of dissent or reformist voices within the Chinese Communist Party,” Mr Joske told Sky News Australia.

“This is, for him, a resounding victory but dangerous for the rest of the world.”
