Hi:
I want to bring up a topic that is probably cliché as this is a forum about making friends but here it us. While I agree it's appropriate to learn social skills, I wanted to talk about a common attitude from peers who are NTs and ND(Ones who are insecure about being on the spectrum themselves. They somehow get this idea that because we are autistic, we don't know how to socialize. However, I feel like they don't know how to socialize with us and let alone accept us into their circles.

I am talking about NTs who basically put all the responsibility on the autistics but don't really work on how they can socialize back with us. Instead, they tend to use stereotypes and refuse to look at the bigger picture. As a result, they talk to use like we we are little kids who are dumb and need to be reminded about everything. Then they wonder why some of us lose our temper at them.
