Does anybody know any good autism charities in case people I know want to make a donation? I've heard people recommend The Autistic Self Advocacy Network but I don't really agree with some of their views but at the same time I don't want them to support Autism Speaks.

You might want to consider Academic Autism Spectrum Partnership in Research and Education (AASPIRE).

Their web page doesn't even hint that they solicit or accept donations from individuals.

It does, however, make them appear to be worth supporting. I suspect a number of folk on Wrong Planet would volunteer to participate in some of their studies...if they knew what kind of opportunities existed.

Seems like a cool charity. As Double Retired mentioned I don't think they take donations. Under their funding page it seems they get all their funding from other organizations.

Do you have a link to it? I didn't find it from a Google search.
