Fun fact:

Here's what a healthy Blobfish looks like without tissue damage. When you take a deep sea creature and bring them up to the surface...the results aren't pretty.

Quote:
Remember that gelatinous-type appearance we mentioned? The blobfish only looks that way above water. In its normal habitat, which is 2,000 to 4,000 feet underwater, the pressure there makes it look like any ordinary fish.

But as it is brought up to the surface, caught in fishermen’s trawling nets, the pressure of the water decreases and the blobfish begins to lose its shape.

A lot of fish are all just dying by the thousands now because human pollution and global warming are cooking them alive. :x

This reminds me I vaguely remember hearing a radio commercial 15/20 years ago. I forget what they were advertising but I think it was something related to dating/relationships, perhaps dating site or a church dating event. They started the commercial with that clueshay & then talked about how the sea was polluted & lots of people were over-fishing & that people had to be very careful where & how they chose to fish.

And in my experience they rot from the head.
