Can dating sites mess up on people ages?

No.

But people can lie.

The age displayed will be whatever the user entered. Sometimes people lie - usually claiming to be younger than they are. But occasionally people may claim to be older than they are.

But the sites themselves are extremely unlikely to mess up on peoples’ ages.

As goldfish mentioned - people do lie on those websites, so be careful.
