What choice does he have?

Among other things it's a defense tactic for him. If he's a candidate he will always claim that he's being targeted for political reasons.

Also the time. He's running out of time anyway due to age.

Why does it even matter anymore? The human race is screwed and we'll be lucky there's a world left by 2024. But if there is, I want to be put into a coma.

Shouldn't this guy be in prison by now? I guess only in America will they let traitors who attempted a violent coup on the government run for president twice... :roll:

Not only that, there is little to stop him from running for President in prison. Socialist Eugene Debs did just that in 1920 after he was convicted for violating the Espionage and Sedition Act.
