Four of the five largest cities have had or will have female mayors:

1. NYC: none
2. L.A.: Karen Bass
3. Chicago: Jane Byrne, Lori Lightfoot
4. Houston: Kathy Whitmire, Annise Parker
5. Phoenix: Kate Gallego
