What destroyed your life?

Academic dismissal
Occupational redundancy

Mom and dad

Note:. When I took Gender Therapy it was only 2004. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission not until 2012. So, when precious lil "people" had the nerve to tell me that "it is 'lying' for you to ask me to call you 'he' instead of 'she', that was *not* 'discrimination' ". That was not"lying ", but that wasn't discrimination either. The lil dipshit that told me that, had "freedom of speech". Plus, EEOC only applies at work. At the time he told me that, he was not at work. Plus, he told me that he was"trying to help you " and I suspect that he was"doing his 'best' " .

Mental illness mostly. And no I don't mean autism, I mean bipolar disorder type 1 with psychotic episodes. The autism I was living fine with. :|

Being infantalised throughout my life. Treated years behind my age as a kid really hit hard as an adult.

Finally as an adult, it's difficult holding my own even though I certainly earned my place as a adult male. It galls being around people who think success is predicted entirely on social skills and connections. Only now I'm confident enough to fire a few shots back but haven't been slighted enough to have the opportunity yet.

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

This song.

I love the song but it led to something that ruined my life, when I was 14.
It had a domino effect that never ended.

Childhood SA.

Then, telling the man to FO.

That didn't go over too well with the family.

Myself. I literally have no one to blame but me. That said I can also improve my life if I'm up for a challenge

Oh ,my that really encapsulates my point of view. And it the pits , it apparently seems it has to be that way , most of the time. :( , worse it seems like often it can appear to be all the time.

Here again , but heard this song and fell into the repeating effect , that I had little control over it seemed ,the song
Time on their dark side of the moon album. could not stand the alarm bells at the very beginning.but they were breif
But the rest of the song was almost hypnotic to me , and the lyrics . Had the reverse effect . It kinda told me to kinda NOT stagnate in my life . Not let the life of my friends partying most of their free time, become my life.
Was in my late teens . That I got introduced to Pink Floyd. Some of Roger waters later Work kind helped me open my mind to reality of how world and countries interacted with each other . And the subsequent devastations .

sorry the music had that side effect on you Isabella . :(

Bullies and generally people who won't look at past my misophonia and see me on the inside.

End of the World feeling like it's around the corner every day so it feels like I have no time to make something of myself. Too much anxiety. Fear of people stealing my ideas.

Financial and skill limitations as well as being a college dropout.

An alcoholic father.

I love TIME.
What a brilliant song, and Dark Side a brilliant album.

I've always had a soft-spot for the entire Wish You Were Here album.
I love the song and it doesn't upset me, but it started a chain of events that haunts me to this day.

What else destroyed my life?
My grandfather's autism and eventual suicide.
It ruined my family and by extension me, before he even died.
If he hadn't died I wouldn't have gone to CA and met my exh either.
That would have been a very good thing.

Family and School. Both quick to give up on my and ignore my issues instead of helping.
