Apparently liking or disliking brussel sprouts is genetic.

I have a genetic over-sensitivity to them.

Whether I like them is a question of lesser importance to me than the question of which Star Trek episode is that thing and its alien pods a leftover prop from ...

I used to hate them.

They're amazing roasted in maple syrup.

They can also work in soups sometimes.

I haven’t tried them. I’ve been told they taste like strong cabbage, which I do not like, so I haven’t bothered.

I only really eat them when my mother cooks them for holiday meals. With lots of butter and pepper. :D

People often ask this question for some reason... maybe because many people don't like them?

My parents were never interested in Brussels sprouts. So I tried them for the first time in my adulthood. I quite like them. Microwave and pour olive oil/butter on them. Cruciferous vegetables are not too expensive and have lots of health benefits.

The only problem with Brussels sprouts is that they may have some yukky-looking stuff between layers, which makes me lose my appetite.

Can take 'em or leave 'em.

Though I would like to try that roasting in maple syrup recipe, or mashing them into gravy practice.

Would a "No-dig" style garden help as they are designed to maintain moisture in the ground for longer.

They take too long to form sprouts here, once it heats up in spring they don’t do good. They like a cooler climate.
