At the bar I attend I have seen ladies go in the men’s toilets and the bouncers would turn a blind eye.
If a guy went into the women’s toilets/restroom why would he get chucked out?
Yes it's a double standard, but the risk to male/female is not equal. As a society we make certain 'female privilege' scenarios to manage risk inequality. e.g. female only subway cars in some places. it's not a personal reflection on you, it's a societal reflection.
Just another case where we need to think about equal opportunity outcomes (going to the toilet without being assaulted) rather than forcing absolute equality.
But also, yes it's damned annoying.
