Who will ultimately win and become my state's next senator? Raphael Warnock or Hershel Walker?

Frankly I hate Walker a lot but my cards seem to suggest he has a stronger chance of winning this than the media is trying to lead people to believe.

Could well be.

If the shoe were on the other foot... and I...a Democrat lived in a district in which the GOP was running a descent kinda middle of the road kinda man like Warnock, but the Democratic candidate was a dead tree stump with a happy face carved into it...I might vote for the tree stump just to insure a Democratic majority in Congress. Most GOPers are all too aware that Walker has even less qualifications than the average dead tree stump, but that R in front of his name is enough to bring them out to vote for him because the balance in congress...hangs in the balance... in this wierd election. So who knows?

I can't believe anybody would vote for a person who doesn't know what a pronoun is. Especially for the US Senate!

Walker has too many skeletons in the closet; I don't believe he'll win.

I used to like him when he played college football in the 80s. He was fair-to-middling as a pro football player.

Don't forget we are talking about a state that has another equally crazy whackjob in office named Marjorie Taylor Greene. It would disappoint me but really would not surprise me if Hershel Walker was supported too. :P

You'd be surprised. Believe it or not there are a lot of 'conservative' black people in the south. Maybe not necessarily Republican or Trump supporters, but from my personal experiences, especially with the older generation of black people, they take church very seriously and many are also homophobic and anti-abortion because of their religious beliefs.

They are conservative but maybe not necessarily the way white people are.

so they'd vote for a dim-bulb GOP tool and hypocrite just because he's the same color as they?

Well that and maybe because they don't actually support gay rights or abortion becuse of their religious beliefs.

Warnock is also black, as you probably know.

Yeah I know, so I imagine both candidates have a lot of support from black people in Georgia who want different things.

Overall, I doubt that there are many black Republicans in Georgia these days.

Ironically, there would have been many black Republicans about 50 or more years ago, when it was seen as being "the party of Lincoln." A Southern Democrat was usually a segregationist until the 1960s. The fact that Jimmy Carter got so far is a testament to how Southern Democrats changed in about a generation.
