I live in Pennsylvania in the USA. I used to live in Massachusetts.
Perhaps I just don’t get this Canadian game.
Is this really a game or a joke of some kind?
If a game how is it played?
If a joke - I feel kind of dumb, but could someone please decode it a bit for me?

There's another version called "Finding a needle in a snow-stack".

Judging from the photo he means that you cant tell ...if you're 'offroad driving' or not because you cant tell where the friggin road is... because of the snow depth combined with low visibility from the weather(much less tell if you're in the correct lane).

If you mow your own lawn and find an abandoned car....you might be a redneck... according to Jeff Foxworthy.

If you shovel snow...and discover a car... you might be a Canadian!

Yes I see now. I have certainly had to drive in such road conditions. I guess I should have gotten the joke right away. I thought it might be some kind of game like “I Spy With My Little Eye”

Ha ha ha we have snow in Canada, something no other country has ever.

We've got hardly any snow in the part of Canada I live in right now, but we've had plenty of rain.

In Canada, and in the northern tier of US states you get snow that accumulates.

In the US South you dont get as much snow, and the snow you get melts.

In the middle tier of US states you get the worst of both worlds. Fair amount of snow, some meltage, some freezing rain, refreezing of said melted snow. So it it rarely deep, but its a treacherous layer cake of alternating powder and slick solid ice.

Lol not literally a game, just a meme poking fun at winter driving when you can’t see the lines or even the edges of the road anymore.

We had record breaking snowfall a couple days ago. Tomorrow is slated to be frozen hell.. the ground temp is way below freezing and an atmospheric river of water is going to rain down over everything - especially the Fraser Valley just East of where I live - and turn the entire region into a sheet of ice for 36 hours.

So, quick work right now then home asap before rush hour traffic so I can get some homework done and attend my online class. No one is working tmw except emergency services is my best guess - it’s bound to be a once in a lifetime extreme weather event.

All of this is pretty unprecedented for Vancouver, really. We don’t get severe cold winter weather like this.. no joke; people are going to freeze to death. :( There are a lot of homeless people and car/rv dwellers due to exorbitant housing costs + we have the mildest winters in Canada so surviving outdoors is typically easiest here, but not Right Now. :/

I used to play that game on the interstate in upstate NY. I’m lucky to be alive.

There's snow on the ground in my part of the country topped by ice and probably more more snow later on.

Yep. Here, too. I got a couple invites to go for family visits today buuut declined because there’s no sense in risking being on the roads today unless absolutely necessary.

Even IF I manage to drive okay with winter tires & manual transmission, some other schlep could slide into me. Or I could get out okay and then not be able to get back into my neighbourhood once the hills freeze up. Or worse - I make the hill and corner but slide into a neighbour’s car.

Just not worth it for a day or so. Staying in with hot food and drink and gonna wrap some presents.

I'll tell what's a fun game, watching people in the southern US going into a full-blown panic over some flurries.
