Writing & reading content in the 'Social Skills & Making Friends' Forum might prove helpful.

It's been found that writing alone (and reading feedback on our writing) might boost those parts of the brain to encourage us to "break the ice so to speak" - that is to boost progress beyond "small-talk" amongst familiar, and trusted people.

It's important to encourage positive-leaning experiences (to boost participation from like-minded people) - that is negative-leaning experiences too often becomes a "self fulfilling prophecy of sorts" (a viscious-cycle best broken) - sentiments sometimes reflected here on WP.

Three current (as of this writing) discussion-threads in the 'Social Skills and Making Friends' Forum.

* Breaking the Acquaintance Barrier.

* How are Friendships Imagined?

* Need Video-Clips on Boosting Social Skills.

Paragraphs with fewer than ten words can speak volumes.

An important insight, 'once bitten, twice shy.'
