The Albanese government will spend nearly a billion dollars acquiring 20 missile launchers from the US.

The American artillery system has helped Ukraine repel Russian forces in its ongoing conflict.

The Australian Navy will also receive a boost, with a number of vessels to be equipped with naval strike missiles from next year.

AUKUS subs are a ‘vital threat’ against China’s plans to ‘dominate’
9 hours ago

AUKUS nuclear submarines are a “vital threat” against China’s plans to “dominate” south-east Asia, according to former Howard government minister Peter McGuaran.

“We can choke off the South China Seas with these submarines,” Mr McGuaran told Sky News Australia.

“The Chinese know if we acquire nuclear-powered submarines in conjunction with the American fleet, we can contain them to a far greater extent than they would want.”

China could blow Australia up 3 times over before we could pop our first piddly missile
The money could be better spent on creating employment, health and education

The Virginia-class submarine is a technical marvel.
It is considered the most advanced technological "weapon" ever created.

You keep on forgetting, Australia won't be alone in this.
We have allies:

AUKUS: AU, UK, and US.
The Quad: United States, Australia, India, and Japan.

The CCP is sh*****g themselves about the alliances they have created as a result of their "Wolf-Warrior Diplomacy Aggression".

And Australia will only enter the war if Ameriaaaa does.

Moit, stop and think about it. 8O

‘Prepare ourselves’: Experts agree AUKUS was the ‘best decision’
March 16, 2023 - 12:33PM

Perth USASIA Centre CEO Professor Gordon Flake applauds the AUKUS agreement, saying Australia made the “best decision” based on capabilities which will be required in the decades to come.

“We knew it was going to take decades and that it was going to be difficult,” Professor Flake told Sky News Australia.

“The world doesn’t seem to be getting any better, but if you look at long-term trends like Ukraine and Taiwan, there’s a recognition that we need to prepare ourselves for that future,” he said.
