Why is that my sister’s boyfriend treats my daughters as his own when they are mine?

He takes them places along with my sister. Concerts, movies, parties and other events.

Is there a problem with him doing this?

I have no problem with that. I’m just jealous.

Are you not able to take them out yourself?

maybe its more a matter of treating them like family if you all spend a lot of time together? The more love and caring kids get from others, the better (assuming it is healthy and proper behavior). Your kids win. I understand the feeling of being jealous or wishing to be included. Hopefully you all have time together as well.

I wonder if he might be trying to prove to your sister that he'd be a good father. Like he wants to get married & have kids & wants your sister to see that he could handle that responsibility if she's on the fence or not quite ready or doesn't think he would be.

Okay. Yes he is. Do you have other reasons?
