I remember a male friend asking me to never wear heels around him. Personally I tend to avoid heels anyway because I lack balance and like to have the option to power walk or run.
He is about 5'10 / just under 5'11. I am 5'8. So, when we're stood next to each other, we appear at a similar height. He worries this will make him look short, but I think it's more likely that people will think 'Oh hey, that's a tall woman' rather than 'that man must be short if he's only slightly taller'.
Granted, I know this is a conversation about what women find attractive in men. My friend is gay. I am also gay, so this whole post may not be particularly relevant.
One of our mutual friends is a straight guy. He's 5'7 and mildly annoyed that I am slightly taller.
I know he has a thing for short girls. His current girlfriend is fairly short. Apparently he wouldn't date someone taller than him.
Whereas, I also know guys who are adamant on dating tall women. Everyone has their preferences.
Guys who are really tall can struggle as well. I have a male friend who is 6'7 and his height can put some women off.
