DeSantis doesn't have as much "Entertainment Value" as Trump, but he has a much more professional approach to politics.
As a result, he is reducing the absurdity factor in Ameriannn politics, IMO.

To be clear:
I don't want the Republicans to win in the next Presidential election.
I am simply saying it as I see it. 8)

We already have one in the Senate: the newly elected John Fetterman. It’s bad enough he ruined Braddock, PA as mayor, let alone nearly ruining the Commonwealth of PA as Lt. Governor. He’ll definitely ruin the USA as a Senator. The only person worse than Fetterman would be Doug Mastriano, a MAGA even worse than Trump.

And you wonder why I hate politicians?

Since we’re talking about clowns, sung by one of the best torch singers still living.

Beat me to it.

Was thinking of that song from the Stephen Sondheim musical too. But couldnt decide whose version to post. Judy Collins, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, and I didnt know (until just now looking at Utube) that comedian Carol Burnett did a version. Good understated acting Burnett did in that little vignette.

But apparently life does not imitate Sondheim.

Life (or at least the American GOP) imitates Monty Python!

Its only a matter of time until a GOP Congressman changes his name to "Walrus Titty".

Is Mastriano worse than Greg Abbott or Ron DeSantis?

YES! Mastriano would have turned Pennsylvania into an even worse police state than Florida or Tejas.

Personally, I don’t trust Shapiro as governor. He’s as much a wimp as Tom Wolf!

As a Pennsylvanian, I was so relieved when Mastriano was not elected.

He made everyone else seem fantastic.

Pennsylvania has what I would describe as "transcendent" scenery.

Trump and his ilk are the sorts of people who would raze all the trees in the state parks so they can make a buck, (or get out of debt).

I live in Virginia and a Trump clone (Youngkin) is governor. I think he read the temperature in the room and used the Trump connection to get elected. It appears that now Youngkin is trying to distance himself from the Trump association.

Of the GOP governors, I like Phil Scott (Vermont), Chris Sununu (New Hampshire) and Doug Burgum (North Dakota).

Of the Dems, I like Laura Kelly (Kansas), Jared Polis (Colorado) and Roy Cooper (NC)

These can change, since I plan to give the new governors more time.

I wouldn't classify members of Congress as "clowns." Ruthless shills for oligarchy seems more appropriate.
