I was never a fan of James Dean or Rock Hudson.
I think most of these actors from the silver screen were gay, anyway.

I realised I like George Clooney in that scene / show because of his expressions.
It's about the way he looks at Carol, more than the way he looks overall.
I love the little squint in his eyes when he smiles.

Same with Ray Ramano as an autistic character who shows his vulnerability:

Jeremy Sisto:

Chris Messina:

Robin Williams:

It's all about the way men look at women with respect, imo.

Oh damn I used to go apeshit for Nick Cage when I was a teenager.

Big Chill: I'll take a William Hurt, Kevin Kline*, and Jeff Goldblum sandwich please.

*Kline: Especially the way he judiciously agrees to sleep with his wife's friend.

I’m more of a demisexual and don’t find people I’m not personally attached to sexy. I don’t really understand it. If I had to pick though:

James Stewart because he seemed like a nice guy.

Harvey was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. Vertigo is certainly one of my all time favorites, too.

I like a lot of Cary Grant movies as well. Arsenic and Old Lace is SO good!

Cary Grant in North by North west is iconic. He was certainly the male version of Audrey Hepburn, dashing good looks coupled with immaculate dress sense.

Cary Grant was likely the most handsome of them all imo, but didn’t have the same rugged sex appeal. He was more gentlemanly and immaculate. I can’t even picture him in bed despite being nice looking.

Demisexual - Yeah, maybe that’s why I chose a bunch of characters rather than the specific actors in scripted scenes. I probably wouldn’t look twice at those actors in other roles. so I think my opinion relied heavily on the script and the context.

I do find a lot of men hot without knowing their personality but with actors it’s hard to gauge what their personality really is, and all we get to see is a bunch of characters. I don’t watch enough movies to follow any one actor or notice who I like. I don’t even know who Johnny Depp is.

I’d do better at this question if it were about musicians because I’m more familiar with music than film.

We’re watching Servant right now on Apple TV and I have to say the nanny is stunning. I don’t know her name but wow.

That’s a good film.

I love Hitchcock movies.

Cary Grant is also good in An Affair to Remember which is definitely not a Hitchcock movie. :P

I love lots of movies with Audrey and Katharine Hepburn. I can’t decide which actress is my favorite. It depends on the day, I guess. Sometimes one needs Breakfast at Tiffany’s; other times one needs The African Queen.

Gotta step in and say Elliot Page is a gorgeous human being both pre- and post- transition. Post, he reminds me a bit of Matthew Broderick.

When my wife was pregnant she would watch re-runs of Julie Andrews movies. Like comfort viewing.

I watch The Sound of Music when I need comforting sometimes.

Katharine, hands down.

Re: Cary Grant. Have you seen Penny Serenade or The Bishop's Wife?
They're two of my all-time favourite movies.

I was just going to post Loretta Young as a beautiful actress.
When I googled her picture I found that she was raped and bore a child by Clark Gable.

I get the heeby-jeebies from silver screen movies because you can just tell those women were going through hell behind the scenes.

Not to detract from the thread but I thought I should call out Gable.

Actually she and Gable had a consensual affair. He was married at the time to Maria Langham. She was 22 and he was 35. The whole affair was hushed and Loretta Young went to England to have the child which was passed of as adopted.
