Not really.

putin controls the who's who of the russian elite, who gets wealthy, who stays wealthy, who falls out of windows etc. Their business with trumplestiltskin is, quite simply put, proxy business with putin. To believe otherwise is naive, ignorant, or wilfully blind - take your pick.

Still not a valid argument for willful Russian collision between Trump and Russia, nor for the ridiculous conspiracy theories we've had to endure for years simply to cover up the corruption and shortcomings of the U.S. political system. Rather than analyze those, let's blame a foreign country for them. Takes away the need for critical analysis altogether.

Multiple different people, many who have no love for Trump, are denying this claim.

It should be noted that neither Esper, nor former CIA director and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, are on palsy terms with Trump these days. Esper was fired in some dispute near the end of the Trump presidency and Pompeo is a potential rival for the presidency in 2024. It's not like there's a tag team thing going on with all of them, given that they don't speak with each other. That makes them particularly credible as witnesses.

Except for Russia stating openly that they aim to take down the USA from the inside. So, now that it’s playing out with compromised politicians it’s time to pretend that they’re merely conducting basic commerce together. Laughable, at best.

Like I said, naive, ignorant, or wilfully blind.

"Compromised politicians?" Seriously? What politicians aren't compromised? Now who's being naive, Kay? (Godfather reference.)

You still can't prove a formal conspiracy between Trump and Putin. Nobody has yet. It's just the way of the world. There are very few formal conspiracies. What we're left with is simply the corrupt mechanics of the ruling elite.

Conspiracy theories are jolly good fun to consider, but I'll stick with cold hard facts.

Credible might be going too far, but it is at least true they are unlikely to stick their necks out for Trump at this point.
