I am Nat, a female reaching her 30s, diagnosed 5 years ago but only starting to fully understand her autism since last year.

I decided to join the forum because I've never met other autistic people and I'd love to connect with some other people alike.

And I have not knowingly ever met another Autistic. But since 2019 I have learned more about Autism and now I wonder if I actually have met some other Autistics.

Da_Zero_A_Dieci, I have not spent time on other forums. (Except back when it was young and when I was less old I used to visit Usenet...mostly regarding computer security, which was my profession.)

I agree that things on WP are well-behaved. I credit (and thank) the Moderators for that. :thumright:

If you mean I am "well compensated" to mean I do a good job of compensating for my Aspie traits then Thank-you! I've had almost seven decades to learn through trial-and-error how to muddle through life. When I was younger I could muddle through most things, except not socializing and interacting with people. It is still a weakness but over time I have tried to develop a dry sense of humor. I find if I can get a stranger to chuckle in the first few seconds then my lack of social skills is less of a problem.

Da_Zero_A_Dieci, You clearly understand the test better than I do! You mentioned the other scores it produces, mine are: ND 137 of 200/NT 62 of 200. And I don't understand them, either.

And I agree we are off-topic for this thread which is why I've been using the OFFTOPIC markup.

And if OP NatNat would like us to move this discussion out of her thread then I am confident we would both cooperate on that. (However, if we create a new thread to continue this discussion happens I might also re-open the discussion of my long-range optimism for the EU.)

NatNat, perhaps you would like to guide Da_Zero_A_Dieci and me to things that interest you more?
