Nick I don't mean all trolls or people who spend a lot of time on WP. I spend a lot of time on WP myself. Maybe even more than the "trolls" do. What I meant specifically, was "sex trolls" or predators. I don't mean the ones who might be looking for a partner in legitimate ways. I don't mean the ones who find a willing cybersex partner through honest means. I mean the ones who troll and follow and stalk people even when they say no, the ones who shame others with sexual jokes, imagery, and content, and the ones who blame the other party for not enjoying or wanting it.

I don’t know. I think some people enjoy trolling. My sympathy tends to shrink the more a person trolls because then they are hurting other people.

I get what you mean now. I would use the word Bully to describe those people instead of Troll.

I'll add Major Double Standards to this. Lots of things are OK for them but they'll throw a huge fit if you do the same things.


For some reason I haven't been getting reply notifications for this thread in the last week or so. I'm still getting notifications for other threads thou & I tried unsubscribing & resubscribing. Not sure if it's just me or not.

I use the word troll to describe what they're doing, like people trolling waters in a fishing boat trying to catch fish. It means the boat driver is moving slowly back and forth across the water, bait in water, looking for the best catch they can find.

I guess I think the word Troll has too many meanings these days. It could mean online bullying, It could mean someone online who regularly posts very controversial things, It could mean someone online who regularly disagrees with others, Or it could mean someone online who goes on & on nonstop about the same things.
What's really bad is that on some forums bullying is called Autism/Autistic Behavior by users & mods :wall:
