Have problems since I was 13, depression/anxiety and social problems. I stopped talking at 13 because I was dissociating badly (into my teens and 20's). Been on disability most of my life. I feel hopeless, I've seen tons of drs/therapists with little relief.

I hope you find Wrong Planet a comfortable place.

If a thread gets unpleasant just move to a different thread...you don't need to leave the Planet.

Are you thinking you have autism?

A Johns Hopkins resident told me I had Asperger's in 2017 but others since then are not sure.

Welcome to Wrong Planet.

Yes, 13 is kind of late to first notice any problems for an ASD kid. My parents certainly noticed problems before I started school. And once school started things were rocky from then on.

I had a Dr. tell me otherwise, she said 13 wasn't too late to experience problems.

Welcome to WP. I'm of similar age and was diagnosed at 45. So I can relate.

Enjoy exploring the site! Not all forums are very active but there's something for everyone.

Welcome. I'm from PA. I pray the hopelessness loosens its grip for you with guidance and help here, and/or elsewhere.

A young punk resident at Johns Hopkins said to me one morning, "You have Asperger's" and proceeded to call my dad and tell him and he never explained anything else about it, like getting treatment, etc..
