Choatic footage emerges of Senator Lidia Thorpe crawling across wet grass outside Parliament following altercation with police

Chaotic scenes have erupted outside Parliament House with footage surfacing of Senator Lidia Thorpe being tackled by police and then crawling across wet grass following a counter-protest against the Let Women Speak rally in Canberra.

Senator Lidia Thorpe has found the limelight again after being tackled by police and crawling across wet grass during a protest outside Parliament House.

Footage of the chaotic scenes surfaced after Ms Thorpe took part in a counter-protest during activist Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull’s speech at her Let Women Speak event in Canberra.

The controversial Senator was seen taken down by police with an aboriginal flag draped around her back before officers lost their grip.

She then crawled across the lawn outside the front of Parliament House and then rose to her feet.
