Just like the title says.

Football and rugby (for example) count as stick and ball sports even though they use a ball but no stick.

Do you mean watching, participating, or just the concept of that sport in general?

Autistic minds need to know.

All of the above.

Personally they're always more interesting to participate in. 8)

Sports appeal to my brain (especially UK football) , my knees (ligaments) say 'Not a hope in hell'. I enjoyed the online Crash Junctions on Burnout, hardly esports, but it was competitive.

I'm surprised ice hockey isn't bigger in the UK. It's basically soccer played on fast forward.

Stick and Ball --
I was obsessed with MLB in 92 and 93 for some good reason.
I'm a hockey fan but mostly in playoffs.
This year will be good again *crosses fingers*
Don't know a damn thing about the rules but I like watching big strong men.
I used to know the Domis, not that I have any respect for Tie.
I know Theo Fleury through PTSD work and a few Team Canada junior members.
I'm sick about the SA scandals which have been uncovered but that's another topic.

I can't see the other options or the poll when scrolling.

I love football (soccer) but mostly watch women's teams.

Not big on combat stuff like boxing or weightlifting etc.

Track and Field is great to watch and I used to participate.
I like men's and women's gymnastics, white water sports, and cycle sports.
Oh swimming / diving too.

I only recently became aware of how outspoken against racism he is. I wish I knew that while he was still active.

Racing - My dad and brother were into it. Have been to Cayuga, Mosport, Daytona 500 etc.

My brother is really into Formula 1 still.

Highly recommended for trauma: Conversations with a Rattlesnake (Theo Fleury and Kim Barthel, PTSD OT)
It's about his trauma journey related to SA by a coach, but has profound insights on trauma and recovery from systemic corruption and injury. There are some YT clips of them talking about it as well but I don't want to derail.

I'm not sure how big ice hockey is in the UK but I know the Cardiff (Capital of Wales) team is the Cardiff Devils and play in the EIHL , never seen them play though (I have an unworn Cardiff Devils T-shirt ). One of my old friends mum always went to games and used to love the fighting

Off Topic
I do like punk hockey music though like The Hansons and one of my favourite items of clothing was a D.O.A Hockey top which I left on a football pitch once never to be seen again :(

I'm going to have to watch Slapshot soon.

Do you know the band Nomeansno? I assume The Hansons you mention are the side-project of that band.

Oh also the one where they run and then shoot guns? What's it called?

Speed skating, and bobsled / luge / skeleton.

Winter sports turn my crank.

I think men invented team sports so they could hug in socially acceptable ways. :skull:

Modern pentathlon has running and shooting with pistols as the final leg of the competition.

They also have to compete in horseback riding, fencing and swimming.

BRING IT ON!

I love Olympics. Sucks that they became so corrupt, and dwindled out with Covid.

mmmmm ^

I have lots of hockey jerseys here.
Pick a team, any team, including GTHL.

One needs to have the C stitched onto it for Tavares.
